Star Dental, Lancaster, PA

Star Dental is a top quality manufacturer of dental handpieces, with more than one hundred years in the industry. They were looking to expand their space in their Lancaster facility, and they settled on the idea of a mezzanine.

When they initially began to scope out this project, Star Dental was primarily looking at used mezzanine material for their storage needs.  Unfortunately for them, they had no success for used material.

That is when they contacted The Mezzanine Company

Upon looking over their requirements for the mezzanine, we quickly realized that what they were looking for would be extremely hard to impossible to find used.  In addition they were hoping to complete the project in the near future making a long and extensive search impossible.

Working with the Star Dental, we came up with a custom mezzanine solution that would fit into both their time requirement and budget requirement.

After getting the go ahead from Star Dental, we produce approval mezzanine drawings and made a site visit to firm things up and take more detailed measurements. This allowed the mezzanine to fit perfectly next to the two existing walls and helped us match up perfectly with the existing floor height of 12’ so that the mezzanine could be accessed from the existing second floor without needing additional stairs.

In addition, a 5’ wide double swing gate was added to allow for the moving of materials.  Also, at this time, through discussions with the team at Star Dental, we decided to increase the floor strength of the area in a few areas to better handle the flow of materials.

Overall we managed to get them a custom mezzanine that fit their precise needs all at a price point they thought they would have to settle for used at.
