Ovik Health, Salisbury, MA

Ovik Health is a medical equipment manufacturer that specializes in wound care, burn care, compression, animal health, and sports medicine. Some of their products include wound and burn dressings, compression solutions, cohesive bandages, and tapes.

Recently, they were looking to gain some additional space in their facility. First, they needed an office area for their production leads and supervisors. Second, they were in need of some additional space for their maintenance shop for storing spare parts.

Ovik Health reached out to The Mezzanine Company to provide a solution. To meet their needs, the mezzanine solution would need to be custom designed to work around their existing layout below.

Working closely with Ovik Health, we came up with a design for two mezzanines that would meet their needs.

The first mezzanine, to be used for their maintenance shop, was ~800 square feet. For flooring, Resindek was used. For access, there was both a straight-run IBC staircase and a caged ladder.

The second mezzanine, to be used as an office area, was ~240 square feet. This mezzanine included a 4-sided modular office made up of 9’ high premier wall panels and a drop ceiling. For access, this mezzanine included a straight-run IBC staircase and a caged ladder as well.

Once the proposal was accepted, approval drawings were generated, and our team made a site visit to make the finishing design adjustments. Additionally, we provided PE stamped drawings for the State of Massachusetts to be used for permitting.

Once the mezzanine production was complete, we arranged for a prompt delivery and coordinated together the best installation schedule.
