Hudson Valley Community College is “the second-largest institution of higherlearning in the Capital Region of New York State” and “serves approximately 13,000 students eachsemester”. They came to us looking for additional storage space for their ice arena.
Since the facilitywould be open to the public, they needed the area to be secure.
Additionally, theyneeded a solution that could be implemented within a quick timeline, before thefall semester started.
Hudson Valley reached out to The Mezzanine Company aboutsubmitting a bid on the project.
One of our staff members was able to quote the project using drawingsand specifications that Hudson Valley provided. We proposed an approximate 1,000square foot platform. The mezzanine included a straight run, IBC staircase and abar grating deck.
Additionally, we proposed enclosing the bottom of the platformwith a three sided Ebtech modular wall system, to serve as their protected storagespace.
Once we were awarded the project, our project manager met withHudson Valley to review the approval drawings with the customer and finalizeall of the details, including the types of doors and sizes.
Once the mezzanine was out of production, we conductedthe shipment and installation schedule with the customer, on time, before thestudents arrived for the fall semester. The mezzanine and modular wall systemwere installed as planned, and on time, much to the delight of the customer.
