Green Bay Packaging is a pulp and paper company based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. They produce corrugated shipping containers, folding cartons, and coated label products. In addition to their headquarters in Green Bay, they also have strategic locations throughout NorthAmerica.
Recently, they were looking to gain some additional space in their El Paso, Texas facility. With tall ceilings and lots of available airspace, a mezzanine was a great solution for gaining additional space.
Green Bay Packaging reached out to us to help provide a solution.
Working with a design provided by their architect, The Mezzanine Company provided Green Bay Packaging with a proposal for a 2,400 square foot mezzanine that would serve their needs. The mezzanine included an inset straight run OSHA staircase for employee access.
The mezzanine included (2) 4’ wide lift out gates in order to provide access fora fork lift to load materials on and off the mezzanine. Additionally, the mezzanine included a special cutout for a lift that Green Bay Packaging would be integrating.
Once the proposal was accepted, approval drawings were created and our local project/installation manager made a site visit to make the final design adjustments, and coordinate the layout and positioning within the existing building column grid.
When production of the mezzanine was completed, we arranged for a prompt delivery, so that the installation could begin. The mezzanine was installed as planned, and on time, with minimum interruption to operations. This included some long days and working over the weekend to complete in an accelerated time frame.
