Global Packaging

Founded in 1948, Global Packaging is “a leading North American printing and converting company providing high-quality flexography, polybags, roll stock, laminated film, and extruded film.”

Recently, they were constructing a new building to grow their operations and were looking to add some additional space in the new building. Global Packaging contacted The Mezzanine Company about a mezzanine solution.

The mezzanine would need to be designed around some existing obstructions, like a building column, and Global Packaging also requested assistance with the permitting process.

The Mezzanine Company worked closely with Global Packaging to come up with a design for a storage platform mezzanine that would serve their unique needs. We proposed an approximate 2,600 square foot platform.

The mezzanine included a straight run OSHA staircase for employee access and (2) 6’ wide double swing gates to allow for moving materials on and off the mezzanine.

Additionally, the mezzanine was custom designed with one section, that served as their loading area for the platform, to have a higher capacity then the rest of the mezzanine.

Once the proposal was approved, we sent one of our project managers onsite to review the layout drawings with the customer to get the final approval.

The Mezzanine Company also handled the permitting process, with the town, for the mezzanine. This included providing PE stamped drawings and completing the permit documents.

After careful planning and efficient communication between all parties, the mezzanine was delivered and installed by our local installation team. The new mezzanine provided Global Packaging with the additional space needed in their new building.
