Corza Medical, Randolph, NJ

Founded in 2021, and operating in 13 countries, Corza Medical is a global medical technology company that specializes in surgical solutions and technologies. Some of their product focus areas include wound closure devices, ophthalmic devices, and fibrin sealant patches.

Recently, due to growth, they were looking to gain some additional space to store product.

Corza Medical reached out to The Mezzanine Company to provide a solution. To meet their needs, the mezzanine platform would need to be custom designed to work around their existing shelving below.

Additionally, Corza Medical was looking for a turnkey solution, which would need to include lighting and sprinklers.

Working closely with Corza Medical we came up with a design for a 2,000 square foot rectangular shaped mezzanine that would meet their requirements.

For the flooring, Resindek would be used. The mezzanine also included a straight-run IBC stair for foot traffic. A double swing gate would allow them to easily move product onto the mezzanine. As requested, our solution also included sprinklers for fire suppression, and LED lighting for an energy efficient solution that provided consistent lighting below the mezzanine.

To accommodate their existing shelving, we dropped our mezzanine columns in locations to avoid blocking shelves or access points. We also designed our structure to work around some existing building columns (as shown in the photos).

Once the proposal was accepted, approval drawings were generated, and our local project manager made a site visit to make the finishing design adjustments. Additionally, we provided PE stamped drawings for the State of New Jersey to be used for permitting.

Once the mezzanine production was complete, we arranged for a prompt delivery and coordinated together the best installation schedule. The mezzanine, lighting, and sprinklers were then installed by our local installation team, as planned and on time.
