Alutex is a manufacturer of retractable awnings, patios & pergolas. Since 1990, Alutex has been designing, producing, and distributing a wide range of products from its 25,000 square feet high-tech facility located thirty miles north of New York City.
Recently, they were looking to free up more floor space for operations. Alutex reached out to The Mezzanine Company to provide a storage solution
One of the challenges of the project would be that, in order to reduce the amount of columns required, Alutex wanted us to attach the new structure to an existing structure.
Working closely with Alutex, we came up with a design for a 630 square foot rectangular shaped storage mezzanine that would serve their needs. For the flooring, Resindek would be used. The mezzanine would be a custom dark blue color in order to match the existing mezzanine,
In order to reduce the amount of columns required, we did an evaluation of the existing structure and determined that we would be able to attach our new structure to the existing structure. Additionally, we made use of all structural steel.
Once the proposal was accepted, approval drawings were generated and our local rep made a site visit to make the finishing design adjustments. When the mezzanine was completed production, we arranged for a prompt delivery and installation by our local team.
Mauro Posani, President of Alutex, had this to say about the service we provide: “You are a great company to work with. Excellent service. Perfect delivery and great installation. The job was planned and delivered as promised. Great personal touch.”
